Senior Product Developer – Performance Apparel
London – Hybrid
Full Time / Permanent

💎 Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Product Developer to join their growing Product Development team, working for a dynamic and highly successful performance apparel brand.

💎 This is a key product role with responsibility for managing an allocated product category through the development process, working closely with Design, Technical, Merchandising, Sourcing and Production to take product from initial concept and development through to production handover.

💎 You will manage product development across proto and sample stages, working directly with international suppliers to drive development, resolve product challenges and ensure product is commercially viable, technically sound and ready for bulk production. You will also take ownership of product data, ensuring information is maintained to a consistently high standard.

💎 Commercial awareness is essential. You will be involved in pre-costing, supplier negotiations and cost engineering, working collaboratively with Design and suppliers to achieve target costs and margins while protecting product quality and design intent.

💎 You will take ownership of development timelines and critical path dates for your category, identifying risks early and driving solutions to keep product on track. This is a highly accountable role requiring someone proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced product environment.

💎 The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years’ experience within apparel product development, with experience owning a category or product area end to end. You will have strong garment construction knowledge, experience working directly with international suppliers and confidence negotiating product costs. Sportswear, activewear or performance apparel experience would be highly advantageous.

You will need to be a confident communicator with strong commercial judgement, excellent attention to detail and the ability to build effective relationships across both internal teams and external suppliers. You should also be comfortable supporting and mentoring more junior members of the Product Development team.

Occasional international travel and factory visits may be required.
